Devices used to carry whole cheeses from the pasture to market. One type of cheese carrier is made of wood and consists of a platform to hold the cheeses, which rests on carved legs attached to two arms, called 'horns'. To carry it, the ‘horns' are placed on the shoulders, with the platform resting on the head. Other types of cheese carriers consist of a platform to hold the cheeses, suspended by cords carried in the hands.
